A partnership Firm in the name of Budget Services was initiated in the year 1993. It was involved in contracting and construction.

Sthapati Enterprises, another partnership firm was formed as a sister concern to take up promotion and development work whereas Budget Services continued with specialized construction.

Budget Services was merged into Sthapati Enterprises.

Sthapati Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. was finally incorporated in April 2002. It carried out real estate construction, promotion and development works.

Keeping an eye to expansion and diversification, Sthapati Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. joined hands with Kanika Enterprises, specialists in turnkey project marketing, to form Sthapati Kanika Combine (as a wholly owned venture of SEPL) in the year 2001. Since inception in August 2001 till December 2002 Sthapati Kanika Combine worked is the sole authorized marketing agent of the construction chemical division of Chembond Chemicals Ltd., Mumbai (an ISO 9002 certified company in technical collaboration with Perstrop Construction Chemicals, Sweden) in Eastern India.

Since January 2003, SKC started working as the Technical and Marketing Agents of the Structural Waterproofing Co. (P) Ltd (now known as SWC Chryso an Indo French JV), an ISO 9001 certified company engaged in the manufacturing of and providing technical solutions in the field of construction chemicals and total waterproofing solutions.

By now the baby had nearly outgrown the parent and as a result with an intention to better management and focused activities the construction chemicals marketing division of SEPL was hived off from the parent company and a new company by the name Sthapati Marketing Private Limited was incorporated in April 2005. Right after incorporation the management of SMPL with a view to relevant expansion added the portfolios of marketing the real estate stock of the parent company and marketing of House Building Loan of ICICI Bank Ltd to the existing chemical marketing business. Thereafter in the next two years the portfolios of personal loans, loans against properties credit cards and share trading of HDFC Bank Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Reliance Capital were added onto the existing portfolio of the company.

By now the activities and balance sheet of SEPL had grown manifold and naturally a need came of hiving off the contracting and consultancy division from Real Estate Development and promotion. As a result in 2007 SESPL was incorporated with a view to providing civil engineering consultancy, construction and contracting. Apart from the parent company’s works the aggressive intent of its management brought work from outside like Govt contracting (SAI) and private Players.

SMPL added the portfolio of Full range Internet ticketing solutions by partnering with Hermes Internet Ticket Pvt Ltd. Observing a slowdown of growth in other businesses the chemicals marketing division was stopped in December 2010 and some of the financial products marketing was downsized keeping focus on House Building Loan, Loan against Property and share trading.

SEPL in its real estate business ventured beyond the barriers of Kolkata and bagged its first projects in Barrackpore and Burdwan and thereafter have been aggressively expanding to other parts of the state of West Bengal.

Acquiring Libra Infracon and its projects in Mahamayatala Sonarpur and thus bringing Libra also into the folds of the Sthapati Group.

The company Sthapati Marketing Pvt Ltd., launched International Educational Marketing Consultancy SBU in September 2018.
